The Dunn Bros. coffee shop in Excelsior was vandalized at 4 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, after a window was broken open and a fire extinguisher was sprayed into the building. The preliminary damage estimates are around $10,000 according the the store owner. The business was closed for two days to be professionally cleaned. The dust was so fine it coated everything, entered the ventilation system, which gave the impression to first responders as a fire since the particles were being blown out the roof. All food had to be thrown away.
